A survey of Manchester United fans by the Athletic publication shows that 66% want Sir Jim Ratcliffe to take over the club. A further 17% want a Qatar backed takeover and after that other potential buyers sit on 5% or less support.
The current owners of Manchester United have set a soft deadline of today (10pm GMT) for interested parties to present outline plans for the purchase of the club, detailing the amount and proof of funds. Thereafter the Glazers' will consider the offers on the table.
